About the Ark

We are a not for profit organisation. Our operations are located on 80 acres of farm land in Townsville, North Queensland.This space allows us to provide a sanctuary for animals to roam, socialise and enjoy their lives.

Our dedicated volunteers also strive to look after the animals by feeding, watering, bathing and caring for them with the upmost love and respect.

The Ark is designed to provide hundreds of unwanted, abused or neglected farm animals with a permanent loving and secure home, either with us at our sanctuary or with you with our re-homing program. We strive to find new loving, caring homes that meet our strict re-homing criteria.

If you have animals that you can no longer provide love and affection for, and need to find a new home for them, send them out to us where all their animal needs will be catered for. It won't cost you a fortune either, just a bale of hay

(No cats or dogs due to safety and health requirements)

Our Aim is to use their stories to show how amazing these animals are, and how farm animals are friends. Their wonderfully unique personalities should be shared with the world. We hope to reintroduce these important and valuable lives back into the minds and hearts of our community.

You can also help by donating food, watering containers or anything structural for their homes. All the help received is really appreciated by the team at Michelle’s Ark Animal Rescue and the Animals too.
